Her work has appeared in or won prizes from Carve Magazine, Glimmer Train, and Romper, and she’s been awarded fellowships from Tin House, the Vermont Studio Center, the Napa Valley Writers’ Workshop, and Columbia University, where she taught in the undergraduate writing program. Her work has been nominated for the PEN/Robert J Dau prize. She earned her MFA from Columbia in 2016; before that, she worked as an energy policy analyst. Never one to finish a project before starting the next, she is editing one novel and writing another.
